Broadway's smash musical CHICAGO

BROADWAY AND BEYOND SERIES

Chicago

Saturday, September 27, 2008

Murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery and treachery – the cornerstones of the sultry and alluring Broadway musical hit Chicago. Chicago is based on the 1926 play by the same name. In 2002, Chicago took to the big screen, winning six Oscars and leading to the rebirth of the musical. Chicago is the story of seductive nightclub dancer Roxie Hart who finds that the road to fame can be a trail of blood. Throw in a cunning lawyer and a bit of razzle dazzle and Roxie goes from cold hearted killer to the toast of the town... and all that jazz!

An American classic - TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD

BROADWAY AND BEYOND SERIES
To Kill A Mockingbird
Friday, April 24, 2009
at 8:00 PM

Published fifty years ago, To Kill A Mockingbird proves to be as moving, poignant and resonant today as when it first burst upon the American literary landscape. This classic tale of justice, acceptance, growing up and forgiveness lives from generation to generation as we pass along the story of Atticus, Scout, Tom and Boo Radley, and discover that the issues of a sleepy Southern town in the 1930’s – prejudice, racism, and human values – are issues for all time. The Montana Repertory Theatre brings you this powerful adaptation of the Harper Lee novel, exploring the heart of the American character with its warmth, wit, and wisdom.
