Arts in Education Resource Links
Resource links for Arts in Education study
Providing programs that students will enjoy is only part of our Arts in the Classroom goal. Our program is designed to enhance curricular learning, develop a heightened appreciation of the arts and the role the arts play in our society, and help build future audiences for the arts. Research has shown that what students learn in the arts may help them to master other subjects, such as reading, math or social studies.
School administrators are encouraged to consult closely with classroom teachers and with music, art, and drama specialists when selecting programs that enrich curriculum offerings and augment course study. The use of dramatic enactment can make a measurable difference in helping students reach such important curricular goals as story understanding, reading comprehension and topical writing skills.
