Recreating the
Grateful Dead Experience...
The Dark Star Orchestra
Using entire shows from
the Grateful Dead's 30 years of extensive touring as a launching pad, Dark
Star Orchestra recreates the original song for song performance set list for
an entirely new generation of, as well as old school, Deadheads, performing
Grateful Dead classics in the same way that an orchestra interprets music of
classical composers. Touring nationwide for nine years to the tune of nearly
1500 shows since forming, the band's determined commitment to "raising the Dead"
has drawn national media attention.

Colin Hay
from Men At Work
While Colin Hay’s voice and visage are still familiar to
millions from his tenure as the charismatic frontman, principal
songwriter, and lead vocalist of pop sensation Men at Work
(“Down Under,” “Overkill,” “Who Can It Be Now?”), the past ten years
have found him quietly re-introducing himself to new generations of
fans. The frequent use of his music on soundtracks – including the
hit NBC show Scrubs (on which he has also had several cameos) and
the sleeper-hit soundtrack to the film Garden State – has proven the
timeless appeal of his songs’ personae: quizzical, curious, cynical
yet open-hearted.
Colin Hay’s upcoming release American Sunshine finds Hay
reaching a new pinnacle in his storied career -- his songwriting
honed by discipline and experience, his unmistakable voice sharpened
by a seemingly unending run of sold-out performances both solo and
with his band. Noticeably reinvigorated, American Sunshine is a
collection of new songs boasting the timeless melodic grace and
lyrical wit long associated with Hay, magnified by dynamic,
uncluttered performances. For old and new fans alike, American
Sunshine marks the welcomed return of an iconic pop underdog, in
peak form.

The Urban Jazz
Coalition
Urban Jazz Coalition
is one of the hottest new contemporary jazz groups to come onto the
scene in some time, and they have created a major buzz on the
national festival circuit over the past few years. “UJC” has
electrified audiences across North America performing their unique
blend of urban jazz at many of the nation’s top smooth jazz
festivals, including The Seabreeze Jazz Festival, The “V98.7”
Detroit Smooth Jazz Fest, The Las Vegas City of Lights Jazz and R&B
Festival, The Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz, “WJZZ” Atlanta’s
Smooth Jazz Under The Stars Series, and at a variety of concert
venues around the country. Carol Archer of Radio & Records was
quoted as follows…“A lot of artists aspire to sound as tight and as
funky as Urban Jazz Coalition, but these gentlemen really
pull it off…and how! Don't
miss the band that everyone in
smooth jazz is talking about - The Urban Jazz Coalition.
