Dear Friends,
We love the Springfield Arts Council. It’s an easy community treasure to
love. When we first met our 2011-12 Youth Arts Ambassadors, Tyler and
Leanne, we realized why we love it. They reflect the true gift the
Springfield Arts Council offers each of us. Listening to them share
their BIG hearts for the arts on how the Springfield Arts Council has
affected their young lives, you can’t help but feel like a proud parent
who wants to cherish, protect, and nurture their future.
The Springfield Arts Council has been a part of the lives of our
neighbors, businesses, and friends like you, literally for an entire
generation through our three strong performing arts programs.
• For 45 years – the Summer Arts Festival has offered our community
thousands of admission-free music, dance, and theater performances at
the Veteran’s Park Amphitheater.
• For 35 years – Arts in the Classroom has provided arts education
programs to over half a million Clark County students, enhancing
curricular learning, and developing an appreciation for the arts.
• For 33 years – the Broadway & Beyond Series has brought national
touring attractions to perform in Springfield, first at Memorial Hall,
now at the Clark State Performing Arts Center.
So, what’s not to love? The Springfield Arts Council has been making
Springfield happy through the performing arts since 1967. Now, it’s time
to nurture the next generation. Our mission is clear, our goals are
fiscally responsible, and our hearts are strong for the task at hand. As
Tyler and Leanne said ever so passionately, “… helping the Springfield
Arts Council… is good for the community and kids like us!”
We write to encourage you to make a tax-deductible gift and invest in
the best that Springfield offers in live performances and arts education

have not participated in the past, we hope you agree that the
